About the role#
NEON is seeking an International Sales & Distribution Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role is part of our Undergraduate Internship Program, which provides professional development, cross-functional exposure, and mentorship. You will work directly with the team responsible for acquisitions, sales, distribution, marketing, and publicity for our film titles. This is a paid, part-time position based in our Los Angeles office.
What you'll do#
- Track competitive projects, including screening RSVP lists and link requests.
- Generate availability listings and pull weekly box office reports.
- Assist with market shipment, office set-up, and sales office operations during the American Film Market.
- Evaluate international sales value for individual projects.
- Read scripts and write coverage.
- Update and track international festival requests.
- Compile international reviews and press breaks.
- Update grids for new marketing assets and track localized artwork.
- Research specific territories, films, or talent.
- Support office operations, film presentations, social sweeps, and special events staffing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Passion for independent film.
- Proactive and positive attitude with a collaborative spirit.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Google Docs and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical writing skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Cultural literacy and curiosity regarding marketing and distribution campaigns.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively.
- Previous internship experience in film sales or marketing is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Los Angeles, California.
- The program runs from January 4, 2027, through May 21, 2027.
- Interns must be available to work three full days per week.
- This position is paid at a rate of $18.50 per hour.
