About the role#
The Immunodiagnostics QC Intern will work within the Quality Control team in Lansing, Michigan. This role involves supporting daily laboratory activities and specific departmental projects. You will gain hands-on experience by applying your academic background to real business challenges in a professional laboratory environment.
What you'll do#
- Support daily activities and projects within the Immunodiagnostics Quality Control department.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to summarize findings.
- Review existing processes, procedures, and documentation to recommend improvements.
- Conduct research and prepare reports, presentations, or project materials.
- Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and learning sessions.
- Collaborate with partners across Quality, Operations, and Laboratory teams.
- Present your project findings and recommendations at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Laboratory Science, Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze information, manage priorities, and follow through on assignments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in a career within Quality, laboratory operations, food safety, animal health, or manufacturing.
- Coursework or experience with laboratory methods, data analysis, statistics, quality systems, or process improvement is preferred.
- Previous experience through internships, research, or leadership roles is a plus.
