About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program within the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services division. You will spend 10-12 weeks working with teams in New Jersey to support facility operations, maintenance, and engineering projects. The role provides exposure to how a large pharmaceutical company manages its infrastructure and utility operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams in facilities management, utility operations, and project delivery.
- Assist with capital projects from initial concept through execution planning.
- Create visual dashboards to track priorities and key performance indicators.
- Support the Gemba program by participating in safety walkdowns.
- Develop digital tools to automate information flow and simplify internal processes.
- Monitor facility projects, track schedules, and report on status and spending.
- Support HVAC, engineering, and operations teams in monitoring equipment performance.
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment uptime.
- Analyze operational and sustainability data to identify trends and performance gaps.
- Support sustainability reporting and environmental data collection.
- Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
- Adhere to all company safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Availability for the full 10-12 week program duration.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
