About the role#
The Global Data Management and Standards (GDMS) team is seeking interns for the Summer 2027 program. This internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks and offers exposure to projects within our Research Labs Division. You will work on database maintenance and support while building your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and maintain several databases.
- Work with team members to support core database functions.
- Use designing and coding utilities to improve database performance.
- Update and amend existing databases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Understanding of database management systems, preferably Oracle.
- Experience with database development, including PL/SQL and SAS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Access, and MS Project.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, VB, or C#.
- Experience with web development, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
