About the role#
The Future Talent Program offers a co-op experience within the Research and Development Division at MSD. You will participate in Discovery Biologics team work and complete one or more projects during your time with us. This program is designed to provide professional development while you contribute to our drug discovery efforts.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with Discovery Biologics teams, such as Antibody Discovery, Protein Design, or Cell Engineering.
- Apply your academic knowledge to hands-on research projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a laboratory setting.
- Follow safe laboratory practices while conducting experiments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BS, BA, MS, or Ph.D. program in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies or one year of graduate studies by June 2027.
- Availability for full-time work for up to 6 months between June and November 2027.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic laboratory skills in molecular biology, cell culture, protein biochemistry, or protein characterization.
- Ability to continue your education for at least one semester or quarter after the co-op concludes.
- Preferred: Experience in protein engineering, computational protein engineering, or machine learning.
