About the role#
As a Data Analyst Co-op, you will work with internal teams to support the development of data-driven solutions. You will assist in analyzing datasets and learn to translate data insights into business value. This role focuses on supporting data governance, security, and quality control while identifying opportunities to optimize workflows.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data from multiple sources, generate reports, and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify data dependencies between systems and perform validation checks and audits to verify integrity during migration and integration.
- Support data mapping, cleansing, and transformation to ensure consistency across source systems.
- Document data workflows, schemas, and mapping rules to help with team knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to reach business objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field at a Canadian university, with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Solid foundational knowledge of SQL, including writing queries for data manipulation, extraction, and analysis.
- Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and automation, specifically using libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Understanding of core data modeling concepts and data migration methodologies.
- Hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating in a team environment.
