About the role#
Mortenson is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our marketing and business development team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Itasca, Illinois. You will work alongside project teams to support internal and external communications, industry events, and business development research.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of internal communications and proposals by gathering and verifying project and team member information.
- Maintain personnel and project data, files, and systems in the company database.
- Create and organize graphics and photography for marketing purposes using graphic design software.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop concepts and execute designs.
- Research external partner organizations to support business development efforts.
- Maintain brand consistency across digital channels and implement design trends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration.
- Thorough prior experience with Adobe InDesign.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Basic understanding of construction and business practices.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of design principles and digital standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Itasca, Illinois.
