About the role#
The Innovation Intern works with the i4 Innovation Team to move projects from initial concepts to full scale application. You will handle research, scheduling, and estimates for construction process changes and new technology. This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Support innovative initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Develop evaluation tools, including research presentations, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to design, manufacture, and test new products or systems.
- Create research presentations that compare current processes against potential solutions.
- Quantify project results and communicate findings to the team.
- Help create accurate execution plans for new initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, or Industrial Design.
- Previous related internship experience.
- A basic understanding of construction and general business practices.
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.
- Ability to stay organized, pay attention to detail, and manage multiple priorities.
