About the role#
The Ticket Sales Intern works with the Ticket Sales, Group Sales, and Membership Services teams to support Washington Mystics sales initiatives. This role focuses on learning the fundamentals of the sales process while working toward revenue goals.
What you'll do#
- Research, expand, and manage the group sales database to support event planning.
- Make introductory phone calls to sales prospects.
- Prepare marketing materials for group initiatives and programs.
- Build client relationships to encourage repeat business and provide customer service.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with social media tools.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and competitive nature.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Reliable transportation and housing.
