About the role#
The Digital Editing Intern helps create, produce, and manage video content for Washington Wizards social media channels. You will work with the team to cover player events and practices, finding new ways to interact with our audience. This role reports to the Branded Content Producer and requires a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Log footage and provide coverage for games, practices, and team events.
- Conceptualize, plan, and edit vertical video content.
- Produce real-time reactionary content during games.
- Collaborate with the Digital and Productions teams on social-first ideas.
- Monitor social media trends to spot new content opportunities.
- Optimize content to improve performance on social platforms.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of experience in social media content creation.
- Strong skills in Adobe Premiere.
- A deep understanding of TikTok and Reels style editing.
- Ability to edit video content quickly to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of NBA players and teams.
- Experience in quick-turn video production.
- Current enrollment or degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Marketing.

- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, seasonal, and rolling term.
