About the role#
The Sales Event Planning Intern assists the Events and Programs team in creating, developing, and executing Wizards sales events and initiatives. This paid internship offers hands-on experience with the strategy and implementation of department programs.
What you'll do#
- Support the team in defining event strategy, goals, and outcomes.
- Coordinate logistics such as menus, invitations, and registrations.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors, including caterers, entertainers, and A/V companies.
- Assist with the management of event budgets.
- Maintain inventory for promotional products, team memorabilia, and gifts.
- Track departmental resources, including the photo library and event supplies.
- Use Archtics and Salesforce to perform post-event data analysis.
- Research market trends to share insights with the team.
- Help with the physical set-up and implementation of Wizards events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 25lbs, climb stairs, and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and housing in the area.
