About the role#
This co-op position offers students the chance to learn from industry professionals while working on active construction projects. You will support the delivery of projects by helping teams coordinate, maintain schedules, and solve daily challenges. This role provides a foundation for a career in construction or project management.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with reporting and gathering information.
- Manage site contract document control.
- Coordinate priorities and activities with general contractors.
- Support meetings with subcontractors and clients.
- Help monitor and manage the construction schedule.
- Relay information between office personnel and field staff.
- Support project managers, coordinators, and foremen on various tasks.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to work in both a construction job site and office setting.
- Reliable, resourceful, and team-oriented approach.
- Previous work experience, construction industry knowledge, or a basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems are considered assets.
- A Working at Heights Certificate is an asset, though training is provided.
