About the role#
MNP is hiring an Intern for the Assurance and Accounting team for the Summer 2027 term, running from May to August. This is a full-time, paid position based in Sudbury, Ontario. You will work directly with our team to provide financial information and support to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, tax, and bookkeeping.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital asset transactions.
- Assess the quality of audit evidence for revenues, expenses, and asset additions.
- Set up files for new clients and manage multiple engagements at once.
- Review financial entries to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and maintain professional relationships with client contacts.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and correspondence for clients.
- Travel as necessary for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a bachelor degree in business administration or commerce, preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
- You are completing the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous experience in an accounting office is an asset.
- Experience with tax and accounting software is helpful.
- Prior customer or client service experience is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour.
