About the role#
The Bioanalytics Systems and Technologies Group is seeking an IT Co-op student to assist with daily information technology operations. This role focuses on supporting the group's IT needs, managing system processes, and contributing to projects that improve internal workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support the group's IT needs by installing, updating, and maintaining software on PCs, workstations, and servers.
- Troubleshoot workstation and network issues.
- Maintain system documentation, including the creation of internal guides and tools.
- Assist with vulnerability tracking and patch management coordination.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and communicate technical needs to staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college co-op program.
- Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic experience supporting PCs and workstations.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Lexington, Massachusetts (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (August - December).
- Compensation: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on year in school.
- Employment requirement: U.S. citizenship is required. The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
