About the role#
Milliman is hiring a summer actuarial intern for our Property and Casualty practice in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, on-site internship for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside consultants and senior management on projects ranging from loss reserve estimation to rating plan development. What you'll do#
- Work with project teams on data analysis and create portions of client deliverables.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and social events designed for interns.
- Develop professional skills in communication, task management, and presenting.
- Receive regular feedback and mentorship to guide your career development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
- At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience with programming or statistical tools like R, Python, SAS, or VBA is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
