About the role#
Milliman’s Mountain Gulf Health Practice is hiring for a full-time Actuarial Intern for the summer of 2027. This position offers experience in health insurance consulting, covering areas such as commercial insurance, behavioral health, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid. You will work with a team of consultants and actuarial professionals to support client projects and develop technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis using spreadsheets and databases to clean and synthesize information.
- Communicate project results to peers and project leaders.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for project files.
- Assist with research and business development projects.
- Review the work of peers and gain experience with healthcare data software.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited university.
- Working towards or completed a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Economics.
- At least one passed Society of Actuaries exam.
- A solid understanding of basic actuarial concepts.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

- This is a paid, full-time remote internship.
- The role is open to candidates based in the United States.
