About the role#
The Brand Marketing Intern provides support to the Marketing Department through recurring tasks and special projects. You will gain experience in how creative work functions within a regulated industry, including exposure to compliance and legal considerations. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support event marketing, brand asset governance, and public relations writing.
- Assist with event planning, including logistics, materials, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Draft and edit corporate communications materials while maintaining brand standards.
- Manage marketing requests from intake to execution, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with employees, vendors, and community organizations on brand initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Use sound judgment to determine when to work independently and when to seek approval.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for marketing, communications, business administration, journalism, or a related field.
- At least two years of your degree program completed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software.
- Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is helpful.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and accuracy.
- A personable approach when communicating with team members and external partners.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Effingham, Illinois.
- You must reside locally and work on-site at the Effingham office.
- The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
