About the role#
The Security Analyst Intern will assist the Information Security Department with recurring cybersecurity tasks and special projects. This role supports the bank's information security program through hands-on experience in a professional banking environment.
What you'll do#
- Update and enhance Security Awareness Training materials and initiatives.
- Support security activities including vulnerability management, third-party risk, governance, policy development, and emerging technologies.
- Assist with threat intelligence activities.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners across IT, Risk Management, and Compliance.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to security projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations like the Bank Secrecy Act.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university degree program with at least 2 years completed.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and information security.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to learn and use new software and programs.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Coursework in network security, operating systems, networking, cloud computing, risk management, or programming/scripting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Louis, Missouri. You must reside locally and work on-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May through early August).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Compensation: $18 per hour.
