About the role#
Midland States Bank is hiring a Loan Servicing Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in either St. Louis, Missouri, or Rockford, Illinois. You will support the Loan Servicing Department with daily operations and contribute to projects that span the entire life of a loan.
What you'll do#
- Handle administrative and operational tasks to support department priorities.
- Gain exposure to escrow administration, tax and insurance processing, flood compliance, and collateral maintenance.
- Assist with quality control, regulatory reporting, and customer requests.
- Conduct data analysis and help with process improvement initiatives.
- Work across multiple banking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with team members while following established procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years in a degree program, such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high accuracy and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfort with learning new software and banking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written communication skills and a preference for working in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Locations: St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Term: Summer 2027, from mid-May through early August.
- Pay: $15 per hour.
