About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern for Data Platform and Analytics, you will build systems that collect, process, store, and analyze data at scale. You will work on data pipelines, databases, analytics platforms, telemetry systems, and reporting solutions. Your work supports product innovation and data-driven decision making. You will collaborate with engineers to develop reliable data solutions while improving data quality, performance, and observability.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering.
- Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
- Learn new engineering methods and incorporate them into work processes.
- Seek feedback and apply best practices to improve technical solutions.
- Manage time effectively to complete software projects in a cooperative team environment.
- Review current developments to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance of products.
- Drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science or a related technical field, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
- At least 1 year of programming experience.
- At least 6 months of experience delivering projects in teams.
- At least 1 year of experience developing and applying data structures and algorithms.
- Coursework or experience in databases, analytics, data engineering, or distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C#.
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data processing frameworks, telemetry systems, reporting tools, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Interest in large-scale data processing, query optimization, and business insights.
