About the role#
Micron Technology is hiring an Intern for the AI Agentic Systems Engineer role. You will join the Cloud Memory Business Unit to help build an AI-powered research and simulation platform. This multi-agent system turns technical signals into evidence-backed insights that guide our technology and product strategy. You will design, build, and productize this internal platform while working alongside senior memory and systems architects.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and evaluate AI agents that automate multi-stage research and analysis workflows.
- Implement agentic patterns with an emphasis on reliability, traceability, and output quality.
- Deploy AI workloads onto managed cloud infrastructure while partnering with IT on governance.
- Develop reusable software tools and services that extend the platform capabilities.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources to support retrieval, reasoning, and persistent memory.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python with the ability to build and debug non-trivial systems.
- Working knowledge of LLMs and agentic AI, including prompt design, tool or function calling, and multi-agent frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud services, containers, REST APIs, and version control using Git.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Folsom, California, or San Jose, California.
- The internship term is rolling.
