About the role#
Michael Baker International is seeking a Survey Intern for the Fall 2026 term. Based in Santa Ana, California, this role supports the Geospatial Information Technology department. You will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of professional staff to gain hands-on experience in the civil engineering field.
What you'll do#
- Assist professionals with project plans, drawings, design, and analysis.
- Perform clerical tasks, such as documenting meeting minutes.
- Create or edit basic documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications.
- Collect, input, verify, and manipulate project data.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university, college, or technical school.
- Progress toward a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Good academic standing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
