About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Summer Intern to join our team in Taylor, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site to help improve infrastructure projects across our departments.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain drawings from local municipalities and manage project-related copying and scanning.
- Collaborate with the Planning, Structural Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology departments.
- Work alongside project managers and engineers, taking direction to complete tasks.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to maintain positive relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. We will also consider other engineering degrees.
- Freshman or sophomore status is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work well with others.
- Strong written and verbal communication and coordination skills.
