About the role#
Stanley Consultants is seeking a student intern to join the Transportation team in Chicago for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will gain experience in drainage, highway, airfield, and site design projects. You will work on various civil engineering tasks for local and international projects.
What you'll do#
- Complete transportation design and drafting tasks using Bentley OpenRoads Designer software.
- Collaborate with senior designers and teams to solve engineering problems and create high quality design documents.
- Prepare and check design computations and quantity estimates.
- Perform occasional field-related tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year college or university as at least a Sophomore.
- Active pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD is preferred, as is previous experience with engineering design and analysis software.
