About the role#
We are looking for Intern Engineers to join our Rocky Hill, Connecticut office for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our Structures, Highway, Project Management, Project Controls, and Construction Services teams. You will work on basic engineering tasks that reflect standard post-secondary curriculum while gaining experience on infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support engineer teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of projects.
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings and documents.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings or documents.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from supervisors and peers.
- Knowledge of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Completion of at least 2 years of a civil engineering program is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure is preferred.

- Location: Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full time, on-site.
- Compensation: $23.18 to $34.76 per hour.
