About the role#
Stanley Consultants is looking for a Student Intern to join the Water/Wastewater team in Muscatine, Iowa. This temporary position involves participating in studies, designs, and construction observation for water, wastewater, water reuse, and water resources projects. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with engineering tasks and supporting project teams.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze project data.
- Check design computations and quantity estimates.
- Prepare preliminary calculations and designs for treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities.
- Assist in the development of reports, specifications, and plans.
- Conduct field work and participate in client meetings.
- Observe on-going construction projects periodically.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Standing as a college sophomore or higher.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- An interest in water, wastewater, water reuse, or water resources.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good writing skills.
- Familiarity with Microstation, AutoCAD, Revit, or GIS software is a plus.
