About the role#
Stanley Consultants is hiring a Student Intern to join the Electrical Substation team in Muscatine, Iowa. This is a full-time, on-site role for students working toward an Electrical Engineering degree. You will work as part of a design team and may support multiple projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn the various aspects of substation design.
- Create substation physical layouts and lighting designs.
- Develop lightning protection, conduit, and cable plans.
- Perform grounding analysis.
- Generate single and three-line schematic diagrams.
- Prepare DC schematics, panel wiring, and control building or relay panel layouts.
- Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited BSEE program.
- Standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Coursework or experience in power system analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
