About the role#
Stanley Consultants is hiring an Electrical Student Intern to join the team in Minneapolis. This role focuses on building foundational knowledge in electrical power, lighting, control, and communication systems. You will work on various building and site infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform and verify engineering calculations.
- Coordinate project information with vendors.
- Conduct field site visits and back-check drawings.
- Assist with design tasks, such as electrical system modeling, lighting calculations, and power plans.
- Develop equipment wiring drawings, schematics, and panelboard schedules.
- Manage general clerk duties and administrative tasks.
- Work independently on assigned projects while consulting with experienced engineers for guidance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BSEE degree program at an ABET-accredited university.
- Current standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
