About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring Civil Interns for the Indianapolis office to support the Bridge and Highway/Roadway teams during the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Structural Engineering team to assist with technical duties and project tasks under the guidance of project managers and senior team members.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids.
- Draft details and make minor plan revisions using MicroStation.
- Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation.
- Support project managers and engineers with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Compensation ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- This position does not offer sponsorship.
