About the role#
Mental Health Cooperative is seeking graduate-level interns to provide clinical mental health services. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by managing a small caseload of clients. You will work under the guidance of a field supervisor to support individuals who have experienced trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. This is a paid, full-time internship that requires a two-semester commitment.
What you'll do#
- Manage a small caseload and provide psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
- Use therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care.
- Conduct client assessments and develop treatment and discharge plans.
- Document all client interactions and clinical progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a master's level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
- Ability to provide clinical mental health services.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Experience or coursework related to client assessments and treatment planning.
- Capacity to work with clients experiencing grief and trauma.
