About the role#
Mental Health Cooperative is seeking graduate-level interns to provide clinical mental health services to clients of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to manage a small caseload while working alongside a field supervisor. Interns will contribute to the client's treatment team by collaborating with various departments across the agency. This position requires a two-semester commitment.
What you'll do#
- Provide point of care and psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
- Conduct client assessments and develop treatment and discharge plans.
- Complete necessary clinical documentation.
- Manage a small caseload of clients independently under the guidance of a field supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a master’s level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
- Interest in developing clinical therapeutic skills using evidence-based modalities.
- Ability to provide psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan.
- Advanced knowledge in social work or counseling is preferred.
