Mental Health Cooperative is seeking graduate-level interns to assist in providing clinical mental health services to clients of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to develop clinical therapeutic skills using evidence-based modalities while working with populations managing grief, loss, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Interns work under the guidance of a field supervisor and are expected to make a two-semester commitment.
What you'll do#
- Manage a small caseload of clients independently while receiving supervision.
- Provide point-of-care services and psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
- Apply therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
- Conduct client assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, and clinical documentation.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team with other agency departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a master’s level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
- Interest in learning and applying evidence-based clinical therapeutic skills.
- Ability to provide direct psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan.
- Advanced knowledge in social work or counseling is preferred.
