About the role#
We are looking for advanced social work or counseling students to join our team as interns. This position provides clinical mental health services to clients of all ages who are uninsured or have TennCare. You will work with individuals navigating grief, loss, depression, anxiety, and trauma. This role allows you to manage a small case load independently while working alongside your field supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Provide point of care and psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
- Conduct client assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Participate in the client's treatment team across agency departments.
- Develop clinical therapeutic skills using evidence-based modalities like TF-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
- Complete necessary clinical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a master's level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
- Ability to manage a small case load of clients.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Commitment to a two-semester internship.
