Mental Health Cooperative is seeking graduate-level interns to provide clinical mental health services to clients of all ages. This position offers the opportunity to develop therapeutic skills while working with individuals managing grief, loss, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Interns will work under the guidance of a field supervisor while maintaining a small, independent caseload.
What you'll do#
- Provide point-of-care services and psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
- Utilize evidence-based modalities, including TF-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
- Conduct client assessments and assist with treatment and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the client's multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in ongoing learning and training opportunities.
- Maintain clinical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Must be a master’s level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
- Ability to conduct client assessments.
- Experience with or knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Willingness to carry a small caseload of clients.
- Commitment to a two-semester internship.
