    About the role#

    We are looking for advanced social work or counseling students to join our Criminal Justice Services team. This internship offers the chance to gain clinical experience while working with clients who have experienced trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. You will work under the guidance of a field supervisor while managing a small caseload of your own. This position requires a two-semester commitment.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide point of care and psychotherapy to clients of various ages.
    • Conduct client assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
    • Use therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
    • Participate as a member of the client treatment team alongside other agency departments.
    • Complete necessary clinical documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a master's level student in a social work, counseling, or psychology program.
    • Academic background or experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
    • Ability to manage a small caseload of clients.
    • Majors in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Public Health are preferred.
