About the role#
We are looking for an engineering student to join our thermal analysis department. You will work under the supervision of a senior analyst. This role provides an experience similar to that of a new graduate, with tasks assigned based on your current level of schooling and experience. This is a full-time, paid internship starting in January 2027 for the winter term.
What you'll do#
- Calculate temperature distributions and heat fluxes for space antennas and electronic equipment.
- Recommend design modifications based on your thermal analysis results.
- Select appropriate thermal protections for various systems.
- Generate reports to demonstrate compliance with project requirements.
- Create thermal test procedures and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 90 credits of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering before the internship begins.
- A general average of 3.2/4.0 or better.
- A strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program.
We prefer candidates who have completed a course in Finite Element Analysis and have knowledge of Nx software. Bilingualism is also considered an asset.
