    About the role#

    As a Condition Based Monitoring Co-Op or Intern, you will join the Reliability team to focus on equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance. You will gain hands-on experience with reliability engineering practices and contribute to asset management strategies in a collaborative environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect and analyze condition monitoring data, including vibration, temperature, and oil analysis.
    • Support the operation and maintenance of sensors and monitoring equipment.
    • Interpret data to identify equipment issues and track deterioration trends.
    • Develop and refine predictive maintenance plans based on your findings.
    • Collaborate with the Reliability team to integrate your work into broader maintenance strategies.
    • Document inspection results and present reports to the Reliability Manager.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for equipment monitoring processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Reliability Engineering program.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with guidance.
    • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy.
    • Eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and ability to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
    • Ability to obtain authorization for access to controlled hardware, software, or technical information.
    • Prior coursework in reliability engineering or condition-based monitoring is an asset.
    • Experience with Jira Kanban boards, MS SharePoint, or AI research tools is a plus.
    • Experience with defense contracts or military assets is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
    • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Compensation: $48,000 to $60,000 CAD annual total target compensation.
    • Travel: Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
