About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Software Engineering Co-op for a 12-month term starting in Winter 2027. You will join the TacCIS Solutions team to work on communication technology for military vehicles and command posts. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Write code for ARM processors and microprocessors.
- Develop software for intercoms and networking products.
- Retrofit armored vehicles and tanks with communication gear.
- Build code that operates within tanks and command posts.
- Split your time between your home workspace and our electronics lab.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with embedded development using C or C++.
- Experience with software development in C#.
- Experience with web development using Javascript, Typescript, React, and Node.js.
- Proficiency with Git, VS Code, and Linux or Windows development environments.
- Familiarity with AI and ML models.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.

- Term: Winter 2027 (12 months).

- Compensation: $24.92 to $33.23 per hour, with eligibility for quarterly pay increases.
