About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. This role involves working with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate system design and hardware-software interfaces. You will work on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science and engineering principles to software development.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to testing.
- Develop, integrate, and test embedded software for real-time control systems.
- Create software test procedures and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews and track software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and Ajax.
- Develop for various platforms including Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems like VxWorks, QNX, and Integrity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.

- Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
