About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on the development of software for tactical radio equipment. You will be part of a team that designs and tests embedded systems for real-time control. This role involves working across the full development life cycle, from initial requirements to final testing.
What you'll do#
- Apply principles from computer science and mathematics to software development.
- Build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software components.
- Write software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to gather operating data and test system performance.
- Participate in peer reviews to track and repair software defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C, Java, Python, and SQL across Windows, Linux, and embedded operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work schedule: 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off).
- Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
