About the role#
As a Co-op, you will join the team to work on mechanical, plumbing, and building automation service and retrofit projects. You will work alongside Account Coordinators and Account Managers to see projects through to completion. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Manage mechanical, plumbing, and building automation service and retrofit work.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule and procure major material and equipment purchases.
- Review project drawings and visit jobsites to develop estimates and proposals.
- Lead meetings to schedule labor and review the weekly labor calendar.
- Survey project sites to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity values.
- Support Account Managers by generating POs, creating sketches, performing take-offs, and developing closeout documentation.
- Obtain permits and schedule inspections for ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited engineering school.
- Major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Ability to complete at least two full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before graduation.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and detail-focused approach to work.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Terms: Spring 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements: Occasional site visits may require climbing stairs or ladders and navigating active construction areas. You may occasionally handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
