About the role#
The AI Collaboration Tools & Operational Engineering Intern joins the Collaboration Tools team to help operate and improve enterprise AI platforms. This 90-day internship focuses on how employees collaborate and work using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and GitHub Copilot. You will work alongside engineers to test, document, and support these services in a large enterprise environment. This position is open to students currently enrolled in a bachelor, master, or graduate degree program, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the operational engineering and support of enterprise AI and collaboration technologies.
- Test and validate new AI platform capabilities, configurations, integrations, connectors, and feature releases.
- Evaluate how approved AI services interact with enterprise collaboration and technology environments.
- Investigate incidents, user-reported issues, integration failures, and unexpected platform behavior.
- Validate authentication, permissions, connectors, and service configurations in controlled environments.
- Develop test plans, operational runbooks, and support documentation.
- Organize and analyze service usage, operational metrics, and support trends.
- Participate in release and change-management activities.
- Explore ways to use scripting and automation to improve repetitive operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Basic understanding of computers, networks, cloud services, or enterprise technology.
- Introductory programming or scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
- Basic familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Interest in AI technologies like Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and GitHub Copilot.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and collaborate with technology teams.
- Enrollment in a degree program that requires or offers credit for an internship.
