About the role#
Cherry Bekaert is seeking an InfoAssurance & Cybersecurity Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based in our Atlanta office, this full-time role supports our audit, tax, and advisory practice areas. You will work under the supervision of managers and partners to provide IT audit, consulting, and compliance services to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Support the performance of technology, cybersecurity, privacy, and general control audit and advisory engagements.
- Identify cybersecurity control weaknesses, design gaps, vulnerabilities, audit exceptions, and inefficiencies.
- Develop recommendations for management based on your findings.
- Prepare work papers that conform to firm methodology and standards.
- Assist with report drafting and communicate results to leadership.
- Conduct cyber services including Cybersecurity Readiness Assessments, Vulnerability Assessments, Attack and Penetration Studies, Incident Response, and Governance Risk and Compliance examinations.
- Maintain client focus by understanding business needs and building professional relationships.
- Demonstrate project management skills, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or Mathematics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above is preferred.
- Interest in technology risk management and IT governance principles.
- Willingness to pursue professional designations such as CPA, CISA, or CISSP.

- Compensation: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour.
