About the role#
We are hiring a Software Intern to join our team in Dorval for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside a team of six experienced developers to build and maintain cross-platform software components. You will handle the same tasks as a full-time engineer, using C++, Java, or JavaScript to contribute to our SDK and support our automation machinery projects.
What you'll do#
- Join our daily scrum, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Build new functionalities for our SDK, including codecs and file handling.
- Develop sample applications for our clients.
- Write code for multi-core computing hardware.
- Refactor existing code to improve quality.
- Research new technologies.
- Review team code and contribute to various projects.
What you'll need#
- You are a student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with at least 30 credits completed.
- Your GPA is at least 2.9/4.3 or 2.6/4.0.
- You have a solid grasp of object-oriented programming.
- You have experience developing in C++, Java, or JavaScript within Windows or Linux environments.
- You are familiar with Visual Studio, GIT, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
- You understand Agile and Scrum practices like XP and TDD.
