About the role#
This internship combines software development work with direct customer interaction. You will help analyze customer requirements and contribute to the development of SDKs, APIs, device drivers, and sample code. You will report to the Technical Support Manager and work with global customers who integrate our technology into their own devices. You will also evaluate data and exercise judgment to select the right methods for technical problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a software applications library to show what the Matrox platform can do.
- Document customer interactions, including the history of problems and the solutions applied.
- Shadow OEM agents who work with customers, engineers, product managers, and sales teams.
- Document your design and code thoroughly.
- Maintain and improve existing products.
- Set up complex systems to recreate environments reported by customers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in the Windows environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Meticulous approach to work and high attention to detail.
- Ability to stay organized when handling multiple tasks.
We consider the following skills an asset:
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with networking or digital video.
- Programming experience in C++ or C#.
- Proficiency in German, Chinese, or Japanese.
