About the role#
Matrox Imaging is looking for an intern to join the R&D group responsible for video chip development. You will work with the FPGA development team to collaborate with architecture and software designers on next generation products. This role focuses on the functional verification of FPGA circuits and the implementation of validation strategies.
What you'll do#
- Create test suites for simulation environments or the real product.
- Build models and test benches using VHDL or SystemVerilog for functional verification.
- Help implement validation strategies.
- Develop scripts and analysis tools in Perl or C++ to assist integrated circuit designers.
- Gain knowledge of architecture, memory technologies, and industry standards like PCI Express, Display Port, and Ethernet.
What you'll need#
- You are currently completing a bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
- You have completed at least 60 credits.
- Your GPA is at least 2.9/4.3 or 2.6/4.0.
- You have knowledge of C or C++ programming.
- Experience with multi-threaded programming is an asset.
- Familiarity with programmable logic and FPGA is an asset.
