About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work within the Space Systems group, contributing to the design and validation of aerospace control components. The role involves a mix of office-based engineering tasks and time spent in the manufacturing shop.
What you'll do#
- Design and analyze novel aerospace control components.
- Write assembly procedures, test reports, and technical documentation.
- Support the design and validation of fixtures for assembly and test operations.
- Review and create Engineering drawings, focusing on tolerance stack-ups.
- Participate in design reviews to present design parameters.
- Perform basic trigonometry and solid geometry calculations.
- Collaborate with other engineers on product specifications and compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current student in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and system knowledge.
- Advanced organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- US Citizenship is required for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in either Montville or Parsippany, New Jersey.
- You may be required to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- The role requires working in both office and manufacturing environments, where you may need to use eye, hearing, or foot protection.
