About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. You will work within the Power and Actuation Systems unit, applying mechanical and aerospace engineering principles to real projects. You will receive mentorship and present your work to senior leadership at the end of your rotation. This position is a paid, full-time opportunity with the potential to transition into full-time employment based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and perform control system simulations and modeling using MATLAB.
- Manage requirements using IBM DOORS.
- Complete SDRLs and other documentation related to system modeling and engineering plans.
- Review and comment on engineering SDRLs to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate technical and schedule issues to the appropriate team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering program.
- Experience with Matlab Simulink modeling and simulation.
- Strong GPA and high grades in core engineering courses.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
