About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in providing holistic financial planning services to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. This role offers hands-on experience in advisory, communication, and business development. You will work directly with advisors to assist with client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the creation of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork for client onboarding.
- Schedule client meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts.
- Participate in meeting follow-up tasks, including research, documentation, and solution development.
- Use financial planning and CRM software to manage data and assist with plan development.
- Handle data entry, plan modeling, and the compilation of plan deliverables.
- Support account maintenance and money movement processes.
- Contribute to team discussions regarding client service and business development.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or master degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Graduation date within 12 months of the internship start.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way.
