About the role#
The HESS Talent Pathways Program offers an Associate Industrial Hygienist role designed to transition interns into full-time positions. This role focuses on managing industrial hygiene programs and ensuring safety through technical oversight and field monitoring.
What you'll do#
- Conduct exposure assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and indoor air quality investigations.
- Perform air monitoring during emergency responses and address employee safety concerns.
- Recommend corrective actions to reduce exposure risks for employees and contractors.
- Collect, document, and summarize monitoring data to meet legal and corporate requirements.
- Identify health stressors and evaluate the effectiveness of current exposure control methods.
- Develop and maintain industrial hygiene standards, procedures, and training materials.
- Manage exposure-based medical surveillance programs and maintain associated equipment and software.
- Perform industrial hygiene audits and serve as a subject matter expert on chemical, physical, and biological agent exposure control.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor degree in Industrial Hygiene, safety, engineering, or a related science.
- Alternatively, a High School diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Successful completion of a Marathon Petroleum HESS internship.
- A valid driver license for work-related travel.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- The role is paid and includes eligibility for a discretionary company-sponsored annual bonus.
