About the role#
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience building the systems that power business insights and decision-making. You will work with modern data tools to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines. This role provides exposure to data architecture, processing, and analytics workflows within an enterprise environment. You will receive guidance from experienced engineers and join a team focused on transforming raw data into actionable information.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to a team focused on building reliable, scalable data systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows.
- Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand requirements and support technical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language like Python or Java.
- Interest in data engineering concepts such as pipelines and data processing.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to data tools like Spark or Databricks, ETL processes, data modeling, or cloud environments is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1st to August 12th).
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You are expected to be in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
